Your Child Will Be Loved & Nurtured

Your baby will be held, cuddled, talked to & stimulated consistently by loving nurturing teachers trained in Early Childhood Development. They will help your infant develop early communication skills by using Baby Sign Language.

At Halsey Schools’ Infant & Toddler Center we follow a flexible schedule as a guideline that is adjusted for each child. We work closely with you to assure we follow your child’s schedule. And we adjust whenever possible to accommodate the needs of your child and your family.

We Will Become an Extension of Your Family

Our Happy Teachers have a minimum of an Early Childhood Development Credential and are certified in C.P.R. and First Aid. They have been selected not only for their ability to interact with the children in a positive reassuring manner, but for their ability to listen and understand parents’ concerns as well

In each child’s classroom the age appropriate curriculum is posted. It incorporates methods, techniques and procedures approved and recommended by:

Based on this curriculum, our teachers design their own lesson plans geared toward the specific needs of each age group.

The lesson plans are designed to give your children the opportunity to experience successes helping them grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
We will help your child develop his/her own sense of self confidence and help emphasize unique strengths and abilities.

Halsey Schools is celebrating its 35th year. That’s right we’ve been providing quality early childhood education and care in Woodland Hills for thirty five years.

In 1978, Halsey Schools was established in Woodland Hills, California, serving children of all ages. It didn’t take long for Halsey Schools to become the leader in quality early childhood development. Over the years many other schools have come and gone. But through it all Halsey Schools remains the bench mark from which all other schools are measured.

When we started Warner Center was a horse ranch called Warner Ranch. Woodland Hills has changed a lot in 35 years and as the needs of our families and community have evolved so have we. - Jenni Rice

Halsey Schools is completely independent and is family owned and operated by Richard and Judy Halsey and their son and daughter in-law Bobby and Jenni. Halsey Schools is open Monday through Friday 6:30 – 6:30 year round and is only closed about 9 times a year on national Holidays.

Halsey Schools’ Woodland Hills location is easily accessible from areas in and around the San Fernando Valley; Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Warner Center, Tarzana, Calabasas, Agoura, Malibu, Topanga, Los Angeles and Ventura County. We are located just South of Ventura and East of Canoga off the 101 Freeway.

When you join the family at Halsey Schools we will work together with you to help foster your child’s individual growth and your growth as parents too.

All of us at Halsey Schools do our best to keep you informed. This website is just one of the ways we strive to keep you up to date. Check out the Happy Times Tab for our latest newsletters, pictures, important dates, blog, etc.

You can also follow us on Google+, Facebook and Twitter. And look for signs and postings in each classroom. You can also speak to any of the teachers at anytime, set up conferences, call us, email us. The options seem endless.

On top of that, you are welcome to visit the classrooms at any time. Come eat lunch with us. Drop by and tell us a story or show us something special. Or just take a break, have a seat, and enjoy the children.
